Title: Volunteer Expert Consultant

Status: Unpaid volunteer engaged for a defined period or specific mission, acting under the coordination of GDAAA. This role is designed for experienced professionals who wish to contribute their expertise to high-impact development initiatives across Asia and Africa.

Main Mission

The Volunteer Expert Consultant provides technical, academic, or professional expertise in one or more strategic areas aligned with GDAAA's goals. As a trusted advisor, you will help shape and implement initiatives that foster sustainable development, economic diplomacy, and social innovation across two continents.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Advisory

Provide technical advice, recommendations, or reports on GDAAA projects or initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and local contexts.

Field Missions & Working Groups

Participate in field missions, working groups, trainings, or webinars to share expertise and build local capacity.

Advisory Representation

Represent GDAAA in an advisory capacity at events, conferences, or with strategic partners.

Knowledge Production

Contribute to the drafting of publications, partnership projects, or sector roadmaps that advance GDAAA's mission.

Facilitation & Bridging

Act as a facilitator between local, regional, and international stakeholders, fostering dialogue and cooperation.

Engagement Duration

Typical term: 6 months to 2 years (renewable) depending on mission scope

Flexible withdrawal: Written notice 15 days in advance

Scope of Activity

Activities may be conducted remotely or on-site across Asia and Africa, in coordination with GDAAA's network of partners and institutions.

Non-remuneration Clause: The Volunteer Expert Consultant acts on a voluntary basis, without employment relationship or salary. However, expenses directly linked to a validated GDAAA mission may be reimbursed, subject to prior agreement and in accordance with GDAAA's policies. This ensures that your expertise can be mobilized effectively while maintaining the volunteer nature of the engagement.
